FlockFest is a strategic non-profit fundraising foundation that partners with other non-profits for transformational change.
FlockFest was founded by Steven Crawford in 2014 as a small gathering of friends looking to do something fun and different. I contacted a bunch of my friends for a fun time at the beach, told them to bring swan floats and be prepared for a great time. As it grew each year, I thought this could be a great way to raise money for charitable organizations. 2018 was the first year we planned to raise money for charities. Today, that is our main purpose.

We plan, manage, and implement events that achieve fundraising goals and mission impact. Flockfest Ft. Lauderdale raises money for several local non-profit organizations. The idea that started in 2015 with a small number of floats has grown to over 500 floats and 1800 attendees in 2018. We are so grateful for the 20 local corporate sponsors that helped make this possible.

We look forward to growing Flockfest into a national organization and partnering with a wide variety of charitable organizations that work to create social justice and equality for all.

I am new to the Fort Lauderdale area and ran into the FlockFest CEO/Founder Steven Crawford at a few social events. When he asked me to march in the Wilton Manor Pride parade I had no idea what I was getting into. Getting ready for the Pride march the whole team was so organized, professional and volunteers were well taken care of with food and drink. The day was a blast. I've never marched in a Pride parade, and although Wilton Pride is small, it was the most fun Pride I've been too because I was part of it.
I then immediately volunteered for the FlockFest event set up. It's not easy getting anyone to show up at 6 am, let alone a bunch of gay guys. I was amazed at the number of volunteers. Steven remained calm cool and organized even while early morning winds temporarily halted set up. He always has a smile on his face. Everyone pitched in to help get the event ready for the nearly 2000 even attendees. Steven and the FlockFest group treated the volunteers just like VIP guests. That was a real surprise to me. The following day they even hosted a volunteer appreciation lunch at a local sponsor's restaurant. In the process, I've begun to meet some great guys. I think it's because quality attracts quality.
I'm already looking forward to being part of FlockFest next year.
